Carol Bourgonje is a Cape Town-based, self-taught Intuitive Abstract Expressionist. Originally from Zimbabwe, her creativity first emerged through art and later flourished during a career in fashion and then interior design with her business, Vanilla House Interiors. Rediscovering her passion during the quiet months of lockdown, Carol embraced painting as a powerful form of self-expression. Deeply influenced by her travels and grounded in a lifelong spiritual journey, her work reflects an inner world that continues to unfold on canvas.
